Hello Friends!!! Stephanie Tashman stayed at our house for the first time last week with our dog, bunny, hamster and tortoise.
Stephanie's family has been friends with my family for over 40 years. I was a 11 when she was born and haven't seen her in probably 30 years!! Stephanie comes from a "salt of the earth" local family who I trust immensely.
You first need to understand that I have NEVER left our past dog or this one at a dog resort or kennel. I have NEVER had a stranger take care of my animals. I have never taken our dog to groomer because how can I trust how they will really treat him behind doors??? He annoys me when I groom him so he will certainly annoy a stranger!! Yes I am one of those owners who protects her animals like I do my children!!!
Stephanie came to our home to meet me, my kids, and the animals before we went away. I noticed her taking notes as she got out of her car…probably about our dog barking crazily at the window. She was beyond professional but warm and engaging. She was detailed in her questions regarding all the animals and how the house is run. She was great with all the animals and had knowledge on ALL of them and what their needs would be. I told her that our dog sleeps in my bed, so that is where he slept with her!! It is obvious she adores animals and is passionate about caring for them.
While we were away, she was in contact with me about questions, concerns. For instance, she let me know when a man showed up in driveway to landscape….was he supposed to be there etc. She was diligent about keeping the house and animals safe. Our dog peed on rug…she let me know that she scrubbed it out. She sent cute pictures of them and it was all so reassuring to me. She got locked out of my bedroom and remained calm asking me where key was.
We returned home to happy healthy animals, a vacuumed house, flowers on the table in vase and cookies on a plate!! Perhaps that was just for me because of our family friendship but :) i was happy.
I have already booked Stephanie for next April!!!

Stephanie is great at taking care of pets and reporting back to their "parents". She answers any of questions by text and sends photos which are extremely reassuring. For my cats she fed, provided friendly contact, cleaned cat boxes, watered plants, took in the mail and will make your lights go on or off, as desired.
All this with good cheer and an informal businesslike manner. A paper is filled out with your contact information, and prices are up front, taking into account travel-time and gas. She is insured, bonded and trustworthy.

We recently travelled to Switzerland for a two week vacation, and as the owners of 3 beloved dogs, we needed to find a house/ pet sitter. After several interviews of candidates, we found Stephanie online, and we are so fortunate she was available to fill our needs.
Stephanie is a very professional, vastly experienced pet-sitter, with an obvious love for all things furry! From the minute we met her in our home, we knew we had found someone of outstanding character and dedication to excellence.
Stephanie took the time to really bond with our dogs while we were in Europe, and sent us updates daily, along with many photos and several videos, all of which gave us great comfort and joy. All 3 of our dogs were loved on and given huge attention. Way beyond our expectations!!

We hired Stephanie to look after our Brittany Brie when we went away for 5 days during Thanksgiving. She was Amazing! Not only did she elect to stay at our house overnight (and look after it) for Brie's benefit, but she spent a lot of time throughout the day playing with her and making her feel loved in what might be a very stressful time for our 5th family member. She also sent us Video(s) of Brie every so often, so we could see that she was happy and well cared for.
We will absolutely hire Stephanie again and again! She's a great professional, really cares about the client (Us and the dog), and goes far beyond what we would expect to ensure that our dog was comfortable and happy.
